Eggs suddenly became 'golden': prices in markets and stores shocked Ukrainians.

Prices for chicken eggs in Ukraine have started to rise, and the increase in their cost is becoming quite noticeable in recent weeks. This data was published on the portal of the Ministry of Finance, the Capital Market, and the Odessa market 'Start'.
This product is an important element of the basic grocery basket for many Ukrainian families and is used for cooking. Therefore, such an increase in prices will significantly affect household expenses. According to new price monitoring data, the price of eggs has increased significantly compared to September 2024.
In particular, in September a pack of chicken eggs of the brand 'Kvotchka' category C1 (10 pieces) on average cost 39.76 UAH, and now the average price is 51.25 UAH.
A similar situation is observed with 'Yasensvit' eggs. A pack of 10 pieces increased in price from 40.09 to 49.40 UAH, a pack of 18 pieces rose from 70.37 to 81.26 UAH, and a large pack of 30 pieces now costs 157.70 UAH instead of 122.20 UAH.
In the capital market of Kyiv, egg prices are also high. For example, a dozen eggs of category C1 can be purchased from 48 to 52 UAH, C0 from 54 to 56 UAH, and CB from 59 to 62 UAH.
At the local Odessa market 'Start', prices have also risen significantly. 'Giant' eggs are sold at a price of 52 to 58 UAH per dozen, young hens cost 30 UAH, and table eggs are priced from 30 to 58 UAH per dozen.
Previously, cucumber prices in Ukraine also rose significantly.
