CNN: US Reduces Military Aid to Ukraine Due to Pentagon's Depleted Stockpiles.

US military aid packages for Ukraine have become smaller in recent months due to the depletion of the Pentagon's weapon and equipment stockpiles.
This was reported by CNN.
The situation arose due to increased demand for American weapons because of the war with Russia.
According to American officials, the US government has $6 billion available for arming and equipping Ukraine, but the Pentagon is running low on stockpiles it can supply within two years.
"We have stockpiles on the shelves, we are reviewing Ukraine's requests and seeing if we can meet them now," said one official.
The Pentagon is asking Congress to extend the timeframe for using these funds until September to have enough Time to replenish stockpiles, as was done last winter.
"Replenishing stockpiles is also a problem," the official added.
The US is boosting its production of key weapons such as 155mm artillery shells and Patriot systems, both for Ukraine and for its own needs. But it will take years to meet the growing demand.
Ukraine is experiencing a shortage of weapons, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. During a meeting with the Defense Contact Group in Germany, he noted that deliveries of air defense systems are too slow and warned of a significant aid deficit.
