Up to 300 hryvnias per kilo: how much Ukrainians will have to pay for beef and lard before the holidays.


Prices for beef and lard in supermarkets have increased before the New Year holidays, reports the Minfin portal citing data.
Ukrainian buyers are carefully monitoring prices for meat products to plan their holiday menu for their families.
According to price monitoring results in major retail chains, beef prices have slightly risen compared to November. Beef goulash has increased by an average of 13 kopecks per kilogram, with the most expensive beef sold at Auchan for 245.90 UAH/kg, and the cheapest at Metro for 299.05 UAH/kg.
Prices for beef ribs have practically remained at the same level, ranging from 152.90 UAH/kg at Auchan to 185.00 UAH/kg at MegaMarket.
As for lard, the price of homemade lard has risen by 1.21 UAH, and salted lard by 5.14 UAH.
