Collection of New Year trees for ecological disposal has started in Kyiv
Residents of the capital can hand over live trees without decorations at 78 locations throughout the city. The collection of Christmas trees is organized in all districts of Kyiv - in parks, squares, and on the premises of communal enterprises. Collected trees will be shredded into chips, which will be used for mulching young plantings.
Christmas tree collection points by districts of Kyiv
- Holosiivskyi district: Heroiv Mariupolia Square, Heavenly Hundred Square on Academika Zabolotnoho Street, and Pokol Park.
- Darnytskyi district: parks Pozniaky, Prybuzhny, and Pryvokzalnyi.
- Desnianskyi district: parks Molodizhnyi, Kyoto, and Desnianskyi.
- Dniprovskii district: near Telbin Lake and Kastuś Kalinouski Square.
- Obolonskyi district: 5 collection points.
- Pecherskyi district: 3 collection points.
- Podilskyi district: 5 collection points.
- Svjatoshynskyi district: 8 collection points.
- Solomianskyi district: 8 collection points.
- Shevchenkivskyi district: 7 collection points.
Residents can also hand over Christmas trees at 15 forestry offices in the city, including Brovarske, Dniprovske, Svjatoshynske, and others. The working hours of the forestry offices depend on the location and approximately correspond to working days - from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 17:00 or from 9:00 to 16:00.
