Champions League of Futsal: when will the draw for the starting rounds of the tournament take place.

The 2025/2026 season of the Futsal Champions League will start on July 3 with the draw for the preliminary and main rounds. Ukraine is represented by two teams at the main stage. This was reported by the 'Glavkom' website citing UAF.

New format

From the new season, the elite round with 16 teams will be replaced by a playoff system, similar to that of big football.

The participants remain the same, each national association can participate by entering one club plus a possible tournament winner. The three associations with the highest UEFA national team rankings will have the right to submit a second team. In the 2025/2026 season, the national associations' rankings as of April 2024 will be taken into account. Portugal, Spain, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine can send two teams each.

Preliminary round (August 26-31)

This round will include teams with the lowest UEFA rankings, which will be divided into groups. The group winners (and possibly teams in second places) will advance to Path B of the main round.

Main round (October 28 - November 2)

Path A

This path will feature Kyiv's 'HIT' along with other reigning champions and high-ranking teams. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Round of 16.

Path B

Teams that progress from the preliminary round will join the participants of the main round, including the top seeds. Here, 'Aurora' from Kyiv will participate. The group winners will move on to the Round of 16.

Round of 16 (November 24 and December 5)

Two pots will be created for the draw, containing teams for two-legged matches. Each two-legged match will feature one team from each pot.

Quarter-finals (February 23 and March 6, 2026)

The quarter-finals will take place in two-legged confrontations. The winners of these matches will proceed to the 'Final Four,' which will be held in a chosen country.

Final Four (May 7-10, 2026)

The final tournament will include semi-finals and a final, lasting three days. The venue will be determined in advance.

In the second qualifying round, 'Dynamo' will play against the winner of the pair 'Zalgiris' — 'Hamrun Spartans'. Matches for this stage are scheduled for July, and these will be the first official encounters for 'Dynamo' in the new season.

The first match will take place away, the second match — at home.

The new rules and format of the Futsal Champions League for the 2025/2026 season will make the competition more interesting and emotional, allowing Ukrainian teams to continue fighting for victory.
