After heavy rains, Lviv is facing the threat of massive flooding. In some non-residential areas, the water level is already reaching three meters. The situation is particularly serious near the Zubra River, which has overflowed its banks and continues to flood the territory.
This was reported by Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi.
Sadovyi urges residents of certain areas of Lviv to take care of their property
According to the mayor, there is a threat of flooding in certain parts of the Frankivsk, Sykhiv and Zaliznychnyi districts. The city authorities urge residents to be cautious: to move property from basements to a safe place, and to take cars out of underground parking lots and low-lying areas where water may try to escape.
The utility services are operating on an enhanced mode, responding to residents' requests and eliminating the consequences of the disaster. The authorities ask Lviv residents to be careful and not put themselves in danger.
Meanwhile, some streets in Lviv are flooded with water. In places, the water level is such that it almost completely covers parked cars. Residents of certain areas report problems with electricity supply.
