Pentagon's Plans for Upcoming 'Ramstein' Meeting
The U.S. Department of Defense has announced its plans for a new 'Ramstein' meeting with the new Pentagon chief Pete Hegset, according to information from 'Wave'.
According to reports from the U.S. Department of Defense, the meeting will take place next week. The announcement also indicates that Hegset intends to visit Germany, Belgium, and Poland during a week-long tour starting on February 10.
During the tour, the Pentagon head will also visit Germany and participate in a meeting of NATO defense ministers, as well as in the contact group on defense issues for Ukraine, which will take place in Brussels, Belgium.
During his first meeting with NATO defense ministers, Hegset will engage with allies and partners to discuss the need to increase defense spending among allied nations, strengthen European leadership, and develop the defense industry base.
Additionally, during the 'Ramstein' meeting chaired by the United Kingdom, the Pentagon chief will affirm the Trump administration's support for a swift end to the war in Ukraine through diplomatic efforts.
Hegset will also emphasize the importance of enhancing European leadership in providing security assistance to Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the date of the next 'Ramstein' meeting is already known.
