Pentagon: Russia relocates military formations to Kursk region.


The US Department of Defense reported that certain Russian military formations are being relocated to the Kursk region during the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operation in this territory.
Pentagon Press Secretary Major General Pat Ryder said this at a briefing in Washington.
The number of these Russian forces sent to the Kursk region was characterized as small.
According to Ryder, the US Department of Defense notices signs that Russia is relocating a small number of forces to the Kursk region for response.
He also noted that the American side is monitoring the advancement of the Ukrainian army in this region.
However, the Pentagon representative did not specify which Russian forces are being relocated in this direction and whether they are being moved to the Kursk region from the front in Ukraine or from other regions of Russia.
