A ZNPP employee has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. She was abducted by Russians six months ago.


In October 2024, the Russians abducted Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant employee Natalia Shulha, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison. This was reported by Enerhodar Mayor Dmytro Orlov.
According to information, the Russians claimed that in June 2024 Natalia attempted to blow up a power line in Enerhodar to disrupt electricity supply in the 3rd microdistrict.

On July 12, 2024, Russian law enforcement officers in the temporarily occupied Enerhodar abducted Natalia Shulha and imprisoned her.
The Mayor of Enerhodar reported that the Russians used fabricated video as evidence against the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant employee. The video was filmed by the occupiers in various locations involving the detained Natalia.
On March 5, 2025, the Russian 'Zaporizhzhia Regional Court' issued a verdict, finding Natalia Shulha guilty and sentencing her to 15 years in prison and a fine of 500,000 rubles.
Enerhodar Mayor Dmytro Orlov stated: 'Unfortunately, the occupiers often fabricate criminal cases against civilians in occupied territories. They continue to impose new fake charges and keep our citizens captive, forcing them to confess and issuing unjust verdicts, calling it justice.'
Other cases of accusations
In the previously liberated Mariupol, the Russians sentenced 9 soldiers of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who defended Mariupol against the Russian invasion. The sentenced soldiers are accused of shelling the village of Stary Krym in March 2022, and they received sentences ranging from 24 years to life imprisonment.
Also, in Russia, a Ukrainian serviceman Pavlo Zaporizhnyi was sentenced to 12 years in prison, while the so-called court of the DPR sentenced three Ukrainian soldiers on fabricated charges.
