The level of sympathy of Ukrainians towards Poland has halved since 2022: survey.

Ukrainians' sympathy for Poland and Poles has decreased to 41%
According to a survey conducted by Info Sapiens on behalf of the Meroshevsky Center, it has been revealed that the level of sympathy of Ukrainians towards Poland and Poles has dropped to 41%. This is significantly lower than last year's figures, when this number was 83%.
Specifically, only 4% of respondents answered that they feel 'very good' towards Poles, 37% - 'good', 53% - 'neutral', 4% - 'bad', 1% - 'very bad', and another 1% could not decide on an answer. Last year, these figures were as follows: 46% - 'very good', 37% - 'good', 15% - 'neutral', 2% - no definite assessment.
Sociologists explain this decrease in sympathy for the Polish neighbor by the protests of Polish farmers at the border with Ukraine and the emotions related to the war, which significantly affect citizens' moods. In addition, Russia uses historical fears to its advantage.
The survey was conducted from November 1 to 11 this year using the Cati (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) method on a sample of 1008 Ukrainians.
According to the research findings, the number of Poles who have a negative attitude towards Ukrainian refugees has increased. In particular, Poles oppose the Ukrainian curriculum in schools and express support for the possibility of Ukrainian children attending school in Poland. However, many respondents stated that the Polish language should be primary, but this issue remains under discussion.
It is also worth noting that Polish cement manufacturers are calling for the protection of the domestic market from the increasing import of cement from Ukraine.
