Fine of 1500 euros for swimsuit: Portugal disappoints tourists with new rules.

European city introduces strict measures against indecent behavior
One of the popular party spots in Europe, the city of Albufeira in the southern Algarve region, has decided to ban wearing bikinis on public streets. Tourists who violate this rule will be fined. This decision has not pleased many vacationers visiting the city. However, local authorities are confident that these measures will improve the location's reputation.
The Algarve municipal council proposes to fine tourists wearing swimwear on the streets and in public places, except for beaches and hotel pools. The draft of the new code of conduct will be discussed by the public for 30 days. These changes have become relevant after a few British tourists appeared completely naked in one of the city's bars.
Albufeira's mayor, José Carlos Rolo, stated that it is necessary to take measures against indecent behavior to improve the city's image as a tourist destination. This decision may upset some tourists, but local authorities are ready to combat disrespect.
Albufeira joins other European cities that also have similar rules, including Barcelona, Dubrovnik, and Nice. There is also a consideration to ban drinking alcohol in trees with a fine of 300 euros. The police will also be compelled to combat public arousal. There is a proposal to prohibit sexual acts in public places, which is also being discussed with the public regarding possible restrictions in the coming months.
It should be noted that there was a staffing crisis on the Bulgarian coast before the summer season, and it was necessary to recruit 100,000 employees.
