Work experience abroad: will it be counted for pension in Ukraine.

Work experience abroad will be considered when appointing a pension for Ukrainians
According to the information from 'Hvylya', now Ukrainians working abroad will be able to take into account the experience gained there for obtaining a pension in Ukraine. This change was confirmed by Deputy Minister of Social Policy Darya Marchak.
Previously, work experience acquired abroad was not counted when appointing pensions in Ukraine, unless there was a special agreement on counting experience between countries
The new resolution of the Ministry of Social Policy allows considering any official work experience obtained abroad when calculating pension rights in Ukraine, regardless of the presence of agreements with other countries.
'This is a very important norm, as many Ukrainians work abroad, and we hope for their return to Ukraine. Their experience abroad will be counted when receiving a pension in the future,' Marchak explained.
These changes are aimed at facilitating conditions for Ukrainians working abroad and may become an incentive for their return to Ukraine and receiving a pension in their homeland.
