A House from the Movie 'Home Alone' Sold in the USA: Cost Revealed.

A two-story house that became famous thanks to the 1990 film 'Home Alone' was sold for $5.5 million. This information was reported by Bloomberg.
The red-brick house, with an area of 847 square meters and 5 bedrooms, is located in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.
The previous owners, Trisha and Tim Johnson, bought this 'celebrity' house in 2016, renovated it for two years, and in May 2024 put it up for sale for $5.25 million.
The family received several offers, so they increased the price to $5.5 million. 'Although this is the end of an era for the sellers, we know that the new owners will create many wonderful memories here,' said real estate agent Dawn McKenna.
The names of the new owners are still unknown, but according to the realtors, they are ready for the popularity of their new home. 'My clients fully understand the significance of this house and the joy it brings to many people, especially during the holidays. They are ready to honor this legacy,' said buyers' representative Lori Neillman.
Let’s Recall the Cult Film
The house in Chicago became popular thanks to the first part of the film 'Home Alone' - this is where the main character Kevin McCallister lived. According to the plot, Kevin's family flew to Paris for Christmas and accidentally left him home alone. The house on the affluent street caught the attention of burglars, but Kevin defeated them with his clever traps.
Going further into the film 'Home Alone 2', actor Macaulay Culkin expressed support for the idea of cutting current US President Donald Trump from that part. He shared this thought on his Twitter.
