The involvement of the DPRK army in Russia's war against Ukraine undermines global security - EU statement.

The European Union expressed deep concern over North Korea's involvement in Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine. They consider it an infringement on security in Europe and the world as a whole.
According to an EU representative, these actions could be a serious violation of international law and the UN international charter. This could have a strong negative impact on peace and security both in Europe and worldwide.
The European Union strongly condemns the deepening cooperation between the DPRK and Russia, as well as the supply of weapons that violate UN Security Council resolutions. They call on North Korea to stop supporting Russia in its criminal activities.
The European Union also notes that these actions indicate changes in Russia's position on the denuclearization of the DPRK. The Russian Foreign Minister announced Russia's refusal to adhere to its obligations on non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and violation of UN Security Council resolutions. These actions make Russia incompatible with the responsibilities of a permanent member of the UN Security Council and a participant of the United Nations.
The EU High Representative emphasized that according to the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, the DPRK cannot become a nuclear state.
The European Union emphasizes that the security of Europe and the Indo-Pacific region are interconnected. They note that they will cooperate with international partners, including developing a response to this situation.
