In Ukraine, eggs and lard have become cheaper: how much they cost in Auchan, Metro and Varus.


In February, the prices of chicken eggs and lard in Ukraine decreased. This is reported by the Minfin portal.
Chicken eggs and lard are an important part of the diet of Ukrainians. Many families cannot imagine their daily meals without these products. Therefore, the price of them always matters to buyers. Let's find out how much eggs and lard cost at the beginning of February.
According to price monitoring in large retail chains, the prices of chicken eggs in February 2025 decreased compared to January. For example, the cost of ten 'Kvochka' category C1 eggs decreased from 68.59 to 62.30 UAH on average. 'Yasensvit' eggs in a pack of 10 also became cheaper - from 72.60 to 68.43 UAH. For 30 'Yasensvit' eggs, you will need to pay 200.55 UAH.
As for lard, the situation is not straightforward. Prices for homemade lard have slightly increased - the average price rose from 232.93 to 234.00 UAH per kilogram. On the other hand, salted lard has slightly decreased - from 248.34 to 242.80 UAH per kilogram.
