Ukrenergo forecasted whether electricity will be cut off on September 24.


Ukrenergo urges citizens to save electricity
National Power Company "Ukrenergo" reports that no measures are planned to limit electricity consumption on September 24, 2024. However, the company urges citizens to use electricity sparingly, especially in the evening hours.
According to Ukrenergo, the best Time to use powerful electrical appliances is from 10:00 to 16:00. Meanwhile, from 16:00 to 22:00 it is recommended to limit electricity consumption.
Electricity consumption is increasing
The company also notes that at the beginning of the work week, there is an increase in electricity consumption. As of 9:30 AM on September 23, consumption levels were 2.2% higher than on Friday, September 20. The peak consumption on Sunday, September 22, was recorded in the evening and corresponded to the level of the previous Sunday, September 15.
Need for power system calculation
Ukrenergo reminds that the Ukrainian power system is still recovering after nine massive attacks from Russia. The system still faces a power deficit, and emergency and planned repairs are ongoing at energy facilities.
Electricity imports and exports
As for electricity imports, they will be carried out throughout the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova with a total volume of 15,223 MWh, with a maximum capacity in certain hours up to 1,488 MW. No electricity export is currently taking place or planned.
Power outages in settlements
As of the morning of September 23, due to hostilities and other reasons, 490 settlements are completely or partially without power. New outages were recorded in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kherson regions. There are also power outages for technical reasons in Dnipropetrovsk and Chernihiv regions.
