Exit to the borders of 1991: can Ukraine reclaim all occupied territories.

According to Foreign Affairs, there is no weaponry that would help Ukraine simultaneously defend its territories and liberate the occupied ones. The publication emphasizes the significant military potential disparity between Ukraine and Russia.
For the successful liberation of Crimea and Donbas, Ukrainian forces would need a threefold advantage over the opponent. However, Ukraine faces many challenges, such as a larger population and a more powerful industry in Russia.
Ukraine is fighting to protect 80% of its territories and does not have sufficient weaponry and ammunition, even with support from Western partners.
The economic situation is also not improving, with only a small growth of 3% in the Ukrainian economy expected after a 30% decline in 2022.
The cost of rebuilding the country is estimated at $500 billion, and hostilities hinder serious reconstruction.
Zelensky's victory plan lacks clear diplomatic goals, apart from the demand for full control over Ukraine. This approach may lead to the continuation of the war without allied support. Many analysts avoid discussing this in the public sphere to avoid demoralizing Ukrainian society and giving confidence to Russia.
