Drivers need to stock up: how fuel prices differ in Ukraine and other countries.

Ukrainians have been shown how fuel prices differ in Ukraine, the USA, and EU countries.
Currently, the situation with fuel prices in Ukraine remains stable. Gasoline and autogas have risen slightly, while diesel has become cheaper. However, experts predict a possible significant increase in fuel prices in the near future.
Prices in Ukraine, the USA, and EU countries
According to data from Ukrainian gas stations, Ukraine offers some of the lowest fuel prices in Europe for gasoline and diesel fuel. Comparable figures are observed in Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.
Prices for autogas are lower in several European countries, especially in Bulgaria. But the lowest prices at gas stations are seen in the USA.
It is anticipated that starting from 2025, fuel prices in Ukraine may rise due to several factors such as advance payment for the profit of gas stations, the law on minimum fuel reserves, and increased excise duties.
Additionally, importers and fuel producers will be required to reserve 3% of their volumes and store them. An increase in excise duties is also scheduled for January 1, 2025.
The market anticipates a replenishment of fuel reserves to record levels, which will allow for a gradual price increase.
Serhiy Kuyun, director of the consulting company A-95, emphasizes that the price of gasoline in Ukraine will depend on world oil prices and other unpredictable factors.
Thus, the cost of fuel in 2025 will depend on the overall situation.
