WP reveals the pessimistic mood of Europe regarding peace in Ukraine.

European politicians are concerned about the prospects of resolving the conflict with Russia
The leadership of Europe expresses concern about the prospects for resolving the conflict with Russia. European politicians refuse to lift sanctions against the Russian Federation in exchange for a ceasefire in the Black Sea and support the position of the United States.
The President of France stated that sanctions could only be reviewed after peace is achieved. European diplomats blame Putin for delaying negotiations and creating a rift between Europe and the Trump administration.
The EU controls the sanctions that Russia wants lifted, and member states are united in continuing the restrictions. France and Great Britain are developing plans to protect Ukraine. European countries are also offering to provide assistance in patrolling the airspace and waters of the Black Sea.
A representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry warned that the plans of France and Great Britain could lead to direct confrontations with NATO. However, France and Great Britain assert that Russia has no right to veto Europe's decisions on supporting Ukraine.
European officials acknowledge that the issue of sanctions will be part of the negotiations, but a temporary ceasefire must first be achieved.
