New details emerged regarding the detention at the Odesa customs.

Four inspectors of the Odesa customs were systematically detained for receiving bribes from carriers. They earned up to $5,000 weekly from this. However, during the searches conducted by law enforcement, the offenders were exposed and face imprisonment.
This was reported by the Odesa regional prosecutor's office.
Details of the case
Four customs officials created a corruption mechanism. Entrepreneurs were forced to pay money for the unhindered movement of goods across the border. The fee ranged from $120 to $200 for each vehicle. Given the average export transportation volume, this scheme could bring in up to $5,000 weekly from just one crossing point.
What punishment is threatened
The four officials have been notified of suspicion under Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (receiving illegal benefits). They face up to three years of imprisonment. The prosecutor's office is initiating the choice of preventive measures for the suspects and their removal from office.
Recall that recently we wrote about the offenders who profited from non-existent soldiers. And also about the prosecutor's investigation into a construction company.
