Commander of the Sheikh Mansur Battalion Muslim Cheberloievskyi believes that the war with Russia can only be stopped with war. He emphasized that proposals for a ceasefire from the Kremlin do not work, as they are perceived as a sign of weakness.

Cheberloievskyi expressed his opinion during an interview for the evening broadcast of Novyny.LIVE, where he noted:

'We have a proverb: the war can only be stopped with war, and it works. Today, when Russia is offered a ceasefire, negotiations to resolve the issue humanely, they perceive this as weakness, cowardice, that the opponent is scared and can be pressured.'

He added that he is convinced of the necessity to speak with the Russians on equal terms, so they adhere to the agreed agreements. Almost always, according to him, the Russians violate all agreed points and agreements, as the whole world can witness.

The commander emphasized:

'After the first war, we had an agreement with their president Yeltsin at the negotiating table, we concluded agreements, signed, recognized each other, but what happened — we see it again.'

Cheberloievskyi explained that this does not mean that he wants to continue the war, but the Chechens wanted to live peacefully at home until the Russians arrived with weapons. 'And we would have lived peacefully, but they did not allow us, nor will they allow others either, this is Russia's disease.', he added.
