The Cabinet has regulated a deferral from mobilization for educators, but there are conditions.

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to amend the conscription procedure regarding the provision of a deferral from mobilization for one year for pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical workers. According to the new regulations, only those educators and scientists who work in educational institutions or research institutions can receive the deferral. It is also planned to allow the deferral to be extended in case of an extension of mobilization.
Conditions for the deferral
According to the new rules, employees of educational institutions and research institutions can receive a deferral for 1 year, but not longer than the duration of mobilization. The deferral is granted to teachers and scientists who have the appropriate work experience in these fields.
These changes are aimed at ensuring the absence of interruptions in the educational process and the activities of research institutions during possible mobilizations, as well as clarifying the criteria for deferral for the relevant categories of workers.
The government’s resolution includes changes in the procedure for conducting conscription, according to which teachers and scientists will be given the opportunity to obtain a deferral from mobilization for one year. These changes aim to ensure the continuity of the educational process and the work of research institutions in the event of possible mobilizations, as well as to establish clear criteria for obtaining a deferral.Read also
