How many cluster munitions has the Russian Federation fired at Ukraine since the beginning of the war: data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.


Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russian terrorists have carried out over 5,900 attacks with cluster munitions on Ukraine. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The occupiers regularly attack the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the civilian population using rocket and bomb strikes, employing missile systems such as 'Smerch', 'Grad', 'Uragan', 'Tochka-U', and aviation bombs equipped with cluster munitions. These munitions contain elements such as 9N210, 9N235, KOBE 3B-30, Q-16, KE 136V3, M42, SHOAB-0.5, and others.
Brutal examples of attacks by Russian terrorists
Among the numerous documented cases, the following instances stand out for their particular brutality:
- Murder of 22 people and wounding of 31 in Chernihiv on March 17, 2022;
- Strike on Kramatorsk on April 8, 2022, when 54 people were killed and 135 were injured during the evacuation of civilians at the railway station due to a 'Tochka-U' missile;
- Shooting in Kyiv on June 17, 2025, by an X-69 missile, after which 29 items resembling cluster munitions were discovered.
Aggressive attacks in the cities of Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kherson, Chuhuiv, Dobropillia, Okhtyrka, Zatoka, as well as in the territories of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk regions, have led to numerous civilian casualties and extensive destruction of residential, medical, educational, and critical infrastructure facilities. It is worth noting that the war has been going on for 1,219 days.
Situation at the frontline
Over the past day, the enemy carried out the most active offensive actions in the Pokrovsky direction. Ukrainian troops repelled 11 attacks in the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions. Three more combat confrontations are ongoing. The enemy also carried out eight airstrikes, dropping 20 cluster bombs, and conducted 214 shellings, including seven using multiple launch rocket systems.
