Ukraine has dropped in the happiness ranking.


Ukraine has fallen to 111th place in the happiness ranking compared to last year. According to the World Happiness Report 2025, Finland once again topped the ranking, being in first place for the eighth consecutive year.
The remaining places in the top five are occupied by Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Meanwhile, Afghanistan takes the last position in the ranking, and Ukraine has dropped from 105th to 111th place compared to 2023.
Costa Rica (6th place) and Mexico (10th place) have also managed to enter the top ten. An increase in the level of happiness has been noted in Lithuania (16th place), Slovenia (19th place), and the Czech Republic (20th place), indicating a convergence between Eastern, Central, and Western Europe.
The United States (24th place) has fallen to its lowest position in history in the ranking, and the United Kingdom (23rd place) has received the lowest average life rating since the 2017 report.
It is worth recalling that last year Ukraine was in 105th place, and two years ago - 92nd place in the ranking of the strongest countries in the world.
As reported by the American magazine US News & World Report, according to the ranking of countries in the world for 2023, the United States and China have maintained their unchallenged leadership position among the most influential states. Unexpectedly, Russia - the aggressor country - took third place.
It is noteworthy that Zimbabwe was recognized as the most unhappy country in the world in the results of 2022, with an unhappiness index of 414.7. This data was published in August in the ranking of the most unhappy countries in the world compiled by Statista.
